Excellent! For me remembering this one truth brings more joy than anything else and opens the way for true worship with a thankful spirit. When I am overwhelmed with the knowledge that God actually LIKES me because of the redeeming work of Jesus, I cannot stop myself from thanking and praising Him. That sounds so trite and Christian-ese, I know, but it's really what happens!

Oddly enough, it's very humbling too. You would think that the idea of God liking you would tend to puff you up, but in reality the knowledge that you don't deserved to be liked by God at all turns it all on its head. You want to wallow in shame then you remember what Jesus did and how God chooses to look at us through the lens of redemption. Suddenly the relief and joy are so great that the idea of being priggish over it seems absolutely laughable.
