		<description>Yes, there are both aspects to original sin. The genetic deterioration take on it is my own, though it certainly isn&#039;t original. My experience with the way the doctrine of original sin is explained and taught is that it is just completely ASSUMED and the mechanics of it are never dealt with. On one hand, there is nothing (short of dying with Christ) that allows us to transcend it. On the other hand, I do believe some of it&#039;s effects (the nurture part as you put it) CAN effectively be mitigated, to some degree! What would this look like? Probably teaching our children not to be jealous and &quot;grasping&quot;.</description>
