I’ve been reading through the Ballad of the White Horse and am definitely enjoying bits of it.<\/p>\n
The men of the East may spell the stars,
\nAnd times and triumphs mark,
\nBut the men signed of the cross of Christ
\nGo gaily in the dark.<\/p>\n
The men of the East may search the scrolls
\nFor sure fates and fame,
\nBut the men that drink the blood of God
\nGo singing to their shame.<\/p>\n
The wise men know that wicked things
\nAre written on the sky,
\nThey trim sad lamps, they touch sad strings,
\nHearing the heavy purple wings,
\nWhere the forgotten Seraph kings
\nStill plot how God shall die.<\/p>\n
