There weren&#8217;t any in the display case, so they gave me a box of four from the back, still sealed in its specialized plastic wrap. I don&#8217;t think they were supposed to do that. Anyway, I had more fun reading the label than eating the dessert. It&#8217;s hard not to be amazed at the flurry of no fewer than 66 ingredients, including:<\/p>\n<p>titanium dioxide (to make the hard frosting whiter)<br \/>\nbeet extract (to make the stripes of the crushed candy cane red)<br \/>\nvinegar (presumably to more strongly activate the baking powder)<br \/>\ncitric acid (put in nearly everything nowadays)<br \/>\ncarnauba wax (for waxing your snowboard?)<br \/>\nflour and cocoa (used for the actual &#8220;brownie&#8221; part)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/moscowcoffeereview.com\/carpecakem\/wp-content\/uploads\/brownie-pop-label-e1324794617378.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3207 lazyload\" title=\"brownie-pop-label\" data-src=\"http:\/\/moscowcoffeereview.com\/carpecakem\/wp-content\/uploads\/brownie-pop-label-e1324794617378.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 500px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 500\/334;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was actually pretty tasty!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight, I drove the family through a strange place I hadn&#8217;t been in nearly a year: the Starbucks Drive-through.
