New drive-through: Retro Espresso
There’s a new coffee drive-through next to Dominoes Pizza called Retro Espresso (link to Facebook page).
The owner built it out of a remodelled airstream trailer and it looks pretty cool. They appear to be going out of their way to use good ingredients. Worth checking out next time you’re on the road.
The Argonaut newspaper had a piece on it, but I can’t seem to find it on their site anymore.

Hi!
Thanks for including Retro Espresso in your review 🙂 We’re so excited to be here in Moscow serving my hometown community.
Retro Espresso does serve drinks with high quality ingredients. We focus on organic, all-natural, and local ingredients if at all possible to locate. Our syrups, chocolates, and caramel are all-natural from a small company out of Bend, Oregon. We also have organic chai tea, from the same company. When there is enough supply, we get our milk from an all-natural dairy in Spokane, Washington. And our espresso is an organic blend that we get from Landgrove Coffee in Troy.
Currently, we are offering an all-natural spiced cider from Wilson Banner Ranch in Clarkston. Just recently we started serving filled croissants from Panhandle Artisan Bread here in Moscow. And our main bakery staples of biscotti and cookies come from Amy E’s Bakery here in Moscow, all of which are organic and very tasty.
We’re always looking for new local, organic, or all-natural products to carry. So feel free to give us suggestions of new products you’ve found.
One exciting product we’re using here at Retro Espresso is corn plastic cups! The cold cups are all corn plastic. The hot cups are paper lined with corn plastic. All with lids made of corn plastic too. The great thing about corn plastic is that it’s 100% biodegradable, so you can compost your cups, or be satisfied knowing that will break down quickly in the landfill. Very cool.
Additionally, we found cork hot cup sleeves. Cork is harvested from the thick outer layer of bark from the Cork Oak tree, not harming the tree at all. This encourages maintaining healthy Cork Oak tree forests… which are habitat for endanger species. Very important to keep these forests healthy and standing.
We will always strive to maintain high standards of quality, while respecting our environment and the world we live in.
Thanks so much,
Dawn Abbott, Owner of Retro Espresso

I had a Retro espresso the other day and I got a cork sleeve! I was so enchanted that I wanted to keep it, but it ripped. Guess I’ll have to go back to Retro. 🙂
My friend Dawn worked so hard on this Airstream and her hard work is paying off! This is the best coffee in town. Great job Dawn!
